Sweet treats!

Hiiiii!!! I’ve been doing a bit of baking lately, and I wanted to share some of the stuff I’ve made! For breakfast last week we didn’t have any bread, so I made a plate of gluten free buckwheat pancakes, and they were soo nice, especially with maple syrup, bananas and yoghurt! Anyway, I ended up making a Sylvanian-sized edible mini pancake! I put a little dollop of yoghurt on it like whipped cream, and gave it to our rats to have! (they were soooooo happy!)

I also made banana splits for dessert after dinner, and I tried drizzling the melted chocolate syrup instead of putting the chocolate buttons in the bananas. The recipe for the banana splits is really simple and soo yummy! 🍌🍫

First you cut up the bananas (I do one banana for each person) and cook them in an air frier or oven for 10-15 minutes. While they’re cooking, I boil the jug and put the hot water in a small pan. In a seperate glass cup, I put in a handful of little dark chocolate buttons, but you can also just melt cubes of chocolate. I also mix in a teaspoon of coconut oil so the chocolate isn’t clumpy and hard and drizzles well. Then I get out the bananas, put them on a plate, drizzle the chocolate syrup on, sprinkle some mini marshmallows, cut up an orange and voila! A very yummy dessert! The only frustrating thing as the chef is how long it takes to make (20mins) compared to the five minutes of eating time πŸ˜…

I also made a paleo chocolate cake with gorgeous pink icing, but I didn’t get any pictures of it. It was my first time making icing – usually I just dust some icing sugar on the top of the cake, but mum helped me make some! I used ground-up raspberry dust as the colouring πŸ«πŸŽ‚It tasted so nice!
