Welcome back, Daffodil Stables!

Heyy!! Welcome Schleich back to my blog! For the past few months, my stable has been packed away in my closet, because I’ve had my Sylvanian Families out on display on my bedroom floor, but I decided it was time for a change and I missed my favourite horsies…A lot has changed though, since the last Schleich post I did, and that’s what today’s post is about! I’ve got new names, new acessories and new horses…so let’s get cracking!

The biggest change since last time is the Stable’s actual name. I like Daffodil Stables, but I’m not very ‘daffodily’ if that makes any sense at all! It just doesn’t fit for the moment. The stable’s new name is Willowstream Stables, which I think is very lovely for a peaceful riding center full of happy horses and riders.

Next, I got two new horses and some farm animals! These two beautiful models are from my cousins, Tess and Yana, who also have a collection of Schleich and a stables. Theirs is called Bridlewood Stables, and on our second-to-last catchup together, the different horses and riders met eachother! The white mare is a pony, and her name is Mirabelle, Belle for short. The dark bay foal is called Snickers, but he isn’t hers. His dam is Vanilla. If you don’t remember some of these horses, don’t worry because you’ll learn them from the next few Schleich vlogs and series! I also got two pigs, a mummy-pig and a piglet. They’re called Winnie and Pooh. I also got a little baby goat, who is a foster kid, and his mother is a donkey. His name is Berry. They also were soo kind and gave me a little kitten, who I’ve named Patches.

Next, I’ve renamed a bunch of other horses, because these ones I didn’t like their old names. Now I’ve chosen new ones, I’m obsessed! So:

Image is called Pumpkin,

Charlie/Breeze is called Licorice, but his full name is Licorice Allsorts,

Champion is called Buttercream,

Sofie is called Goldie,

Polka-Dot/Pokie is called Marshmallow,

Paris is called Maz,

Hot Chocolate is called Mint,

and Sinatra is called Caramel.

Today I have made two new things for the stable, both of which I am OBSESSED with and so excited about! I made a new paddock for the horses, because I realised Willowstream Stables is completely overflowing with horses, so they needed some new grazing areas! In the pictures you can also see the layout of the stable. The paddock fences are a little frail, but they’re just for decoration so I don’t have a bunch of horses loose in the corner 😁The gate also works, and I made it hinged by using rope and tying it to the gate and fence. This paddock is for the mares and Goldie, who’s a gelding.

The next thing I made is this agility obstacle. I’ve seen this before at Equifest in the Kaimanawa Colt Challenge where they had to walk through the streamers, and Sophie has this obstacle too where Maz lives and we always go through it and over the bridge and tyres. So I made a miniature one! I just made a frame, singed the ends of the ribbons, glued them on, made some flags and voila! It looks like something from the Schleich sets! It looks sooooo good in my opinion and all the horses can fit through it, except for Pigeon.

Also I just realised this picture doesn’t have Maz, Goldie and Marshmallow in it, but you’ll meet them eventually πŸ™‚

Willowstream Stables is divided in half. On the left of the stables is the foaling stalls and the mare’s paddocks. In the plastic stall is Lotus and her foal Fjord, in the big two-stall shed is Vanilla and one of her foals, Manuka, plus the donkey (Who’s name is Donkey !!) and her foster baby, Berry. Out in the agility course is Tom, the foal trainer, and he’s working with Snickers, Vanilla’s other foal. The big paddock with my handmade fences is Pumpkin, Mint, Goldie and Marshmallow. In the four yards across, there’s Maz, Splash, and Buttercream. In the stables is Caramel and Licorice. On the right of the stables is the stallion’s quarters. The mares and stallions are obviously seperated because stallions will literally go bananas if a mare is in sight. In the closest paddock to the stables, there’s Lime, Admiral and Myrtle, plus the mum-pig and piglet, Winnie and Pooh. In the other paddock is KitKat, Popcorn and Molasses. And riding with Yana out the front of the paddock is Mirabelle.

Thanks for reading, chapter seven of Featherclaws will be posted tomorrow!! πŸ˜‰πŸ‘‹Byeeee 🐴
