FeatherClaws – My Brainwave!!!!

Last night I had a brainwave. Like, an awesome, super-super cool brainwave.

My poppy takes me and my brother out for learning every Friday, and usually we end up either making something in the garage or hiking up mountains. I realised, instead of writing about dinosaurs in a world I know nothing about, I should try writing about something here in New Zealand, something I know, but still have oppiturnities to learn about for my book. So, I invented FeatherClaws! There are five groups of native birds, plus others like the Kakapo and that but they aren’t one of the main groups. There’; the gignormous Kererus, the secretive Keas (those two think themselves imperious), the bossy Tuis, the friendly Piwakawaka and the healing Kiwis. Together these birds have to secure peace between themselves and fight off a clan of bloodthirsty feral cats. Their native mountains are in danger. Their princes and princesses and friends and family are in danger. Can they give mercy between themselves and unite? Will the cats take advantage of their weaknesses? Can the warriors survive?

The Kererus are violent and bombastic, the Keas are sectritive and mischevious, the Tuis are bossy know-it-alls, the Piwakawaka are friendly goofs and the Kiwis are prophecy-making dorks. And the wingless-twolegs (Human Beings) down below are oblivious to the problem, and sometimes, the cause of it.

The Cats take pleasure in murdering the eggs and wrecking the tribes’ kingdoms, but some feathery flying mice can’t stop them! Or can they? (Disclamer, I haven’t given up on Pangaea Rising; I’m just trying this idea to see how it works out 🙂 )

Hi Stella, I read Pangaea Falling and loved it! It’s so unique and different, and I can feel your personality in it. I think this new idea will be equally good if not better! I’m also keen to read more about Chilli – will he be reunited with his family, or dinosaurs of his own kind? Will he find his place in the world?
